Subject: 2012 – Medical Training & Renewal Classes

• All class requests must now be emailed to the following email address:
nfdtrainingrequests@nashville.gov. You will be registered for the class
ONCE you receive a confirmation email from academy staff regarding your
request!!!
• Please register for classes EARLY. Due to a limited number of spaces
per class the registration list will fill up fast.
• Only the person that is registered for the class may pick up the
instructional materials for the class. Instructional materials will not
be given out to anyone except the student requesting the class.
• No materials will be delivered or mailed out to anyone.
• Registrants will need to come to the Academy to pick up materials no
later than two (2) weeks prior to the class, in order to complete all
pre-tests and be adequately prepared.
• You will be required to sign for these instructional materials before
they will be issued to you.
• Once you receive your instructional materials, you are responsible for
these. It is your responsibility to return all books, manuals and
materials for this class even if you cannot attend the class.
• All classes will begin promptly at 0800. If you are going to be late,
you will need to contact the Academy at 862-5390 to notify an
instructor. If you are more than 15 minutes late, the Academy
instructors reserve the right to not allow you into the class and you
will have to re-schedule for another class.
• YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO ATTEND ANY CLASSES WITHOUT:
1. Pre-registering for the class in advance
2. A completed pre-test
3. Your book/manual

The following classes are a two day provider and you must attend
both days to complete the certification. All other classes are a
one day renewal.

Textbooks and
pretests have to be picked up and signed out at the
Training
Academy.
If the pretest is not
complete when you report to class you will not be admitted to
attend the class.
