Chief Smith oversees the day to day operations of the Health and
Safety Section. Yearly Physical Ability to all responding
employees in the suppression section is administered by Chief
Smith and members of the Health and Safety section. At the
request of Chief Curran, special investigations are conducted by
Chief Smith. Chief Smith responds on all 2nd alarm or greater
incidents as an Incident Safety Officer. He also chairs the
Accident Review Committee that hears all accidents involving
Fire Dept. vehicles and is on the IOD Committee that hears all
IOD cases on a weekly basis.

Tina
is the backbone of the Health and Safety Section. She is in
charge of keeping all accident and IOD records on every employee
of the Fire Department. Tina updates files and reports on a
daily basis and also directs all telecommunications and mail for
our section. Tina attends all accident and IOD meetings to keep
minutes and all meeting activities on file. We are very proud of
her abilities to keep things straight in the Health and Safety
Section.
