The
Nashville Fire Department Air Service Division is a Certified
C.A.R.E. Authorized Repair Center. Individuals assigned in the
Air Shop are Capt. Ray Mundy, Lt. Walter “Splinter” Simmons and
Micky Morgan . All three are certified as MSA MMR C.A.R.E.
Technicians for M.S.A. equipment. The Air Services Division is
responsible for the testing, maintenance and repair of over 400
S.C.B.A’s, 1200 high pressure cylinders, and over 1,000 face
pieces of all front line personnel. Annual Fit Testing of
S.C.B.A. face pieces for all front line employees are performed
each Spring at the Safety Office. The Air Services Division is
charged with record keeping for maintenance records, repair
records, personal fit testing of all face pieces and training of
all air truck personnel . Daily operations include replacing air
cylinders for halls, record keeping, repairs and maintenance of
cylinders, S.C.B.A.s and face pieces. |
