Joaquin Toon, EMT-P, RN

District Chief Joaquin Toon serves as manager of the NFD EMS Quality Improvement Office team. He has served in a number of other positions during his time with the Nashville Fire Department including paramedic assigned to ambulance detail, fire instructor assigned to the fire training academy, public information officer (PIO), and District Fire Chief - EMS. Joaquin often serves as an instructor in several EMS related courses. He has recently been appointed to an Associate in Emergency Medicine position at Vanderbilt University Department of Emergency Medicine where he directs a class introducing first and second year medical students to Emergency Medical Services.
