Jared J McKinney, M.D. is an assistant professor of Emergency Medicine and is the Assistant EMS Medical Director for the Nashville Fire Department. He earned an undergraduate degree from Purdue University in Engineering. He graduated from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine and then completed a residency in Emergency Medicine and an EMS Fellowship at Vanderbilt Medical Center. Jared is currently in the process of joining the Tennessee DMAT team as a team physician. While in medical school he was honored by the Microbes and Defense society an honor society for excellence in microbiology. During his residency he was presented with the Ian D. Jones Chief Resident’s Award. He has co authored some articles published in JEMS with Corey M. Slovis, M.D., Chairman of the Department of Emergency Medicine at Vanderbilt and current Medical Director with the Nashville Fire Department. Jared is married to his wife Lynn and has 2 children Emma, 4 and Abigail 1. |
