Fire Marshal Danny Hunt 

 

Chief Hunt is a 37 year veteran employee with Metropolitan Nashville. He began his career as an employee with the Engineering Division of the Metro Water Services, subsequently joining the Nashville Fire Department in 1978 in the Fire Prevention Bureau. He began his career as Fire Inspector then served as a Fire Investigator with the Arson Unit. He was promoted to Assistant Fire Marshal in 1987 and was responsible for the Engineering Section which consisted of the architectural plans review as well as automatic fire sprinkler plans review and inspections. In 1997 he was promoted to Deputy Fire Marshal and was in-charge of code enforcement as well as the Engineering Section.

In October of 2004 he was promoted to his current position of Fire Marshal. He is pleased that he has accomplished many of the goals he set for the Fire Marshal’s Office and lauds those employees around him for their dedication and professionalism. “I am extremely proud of the work we do.
